Welcome to Version 9.0!
Version 9.0 brings a new look to your railroad sessions,
plus improvements for Anyrail users, and a new device
for delivery of the goods.
Loco View
Loco View gives a new perspective on your train action!
In a docking window alongside the regular layout
view, you watch the scene as if sitting in the engine.
Your car stays fixed while the view passes by and
rotates around it -- not unlike what you see on the GPS
display in your automobile. You can watch what's coming
up, see what's alongside, throw the switch ahead of you,
view the terrain out to the horizon, and generally get a new feel for the action at
ground level.

Loco View has plenty of flexibility and knobs to
twiddle! You don't have to be riding in the engine, it
can be the car of your choice. You can be looking
forward or backward or anywhere in between. There is a
panel of sliders to let you adjust tilt, perspective,
and zoom. The LV window can be floating or docked in any
position. Set it all up to suit yourself
.
It's not exactly "3D," but it's new and fun and we hope
you like it.
Anyrail Version
Working
with the engineers at Anyrail, we have been making improvements
in the import/export machinery and laid the groundwork
for more in the future. And we have new
items in the product line aimed specifically at Anyrail
users.
Under the hood, the layout conversion now uses
high-precision 3D coordinates. This reduces track errors
and eliminates the previous dependency of accuracy on
zoom level. More visibly, AR now provides data about
clearances at track crossings, which the TP importer
uses to set up overpasses so the trains look right going
under and over =>
New to the product line is the TrackLayer AR Version,
a low-priced offering which brings everything you need
to import and test-drive your AR layout. You get all of
TrackLayer, with the track and scenery tools needed to
modify and repair your import, and all of TrainPlayer,
so you can create and run trains from our huge library
of rolling stock. What you don't get are the two big
modules not needed in this process: Scripting and
Advanced Ops.
The TP Drive
Version
9.0 is available on a new custom-made USB drive,
stylishly encased in engraved wood with magnetic cap,
containing the full installer along with our entire
database of layouts, cars, sounds, and data.
The drive not only serves as distribution media for
installing the system, it also becomes your handy local
database for easy browsing and searching. A
one-click option copies all the data to your hard drive,
for even faster access.
To obtain one of these, purchase any product and at
checkout choose TP Drive under
Shipping Option.
